Review for Forests for Monarchs, La Cruz Habitat Protection Project, Austin , TX, USA
In 2005 I went to Mexico for the first time. Hiking in the Forests for Monarchs with Jose Luis, of LCHPP, gave me a tangible sense of how responsible we are for the life cycle and survival of the monarch butterfly.
It was alarming to see the remains of felled old growth trees, shelter and sustenance for the monarch, strewn about, in these beautiful mountains.
The rewards of so many young trees being planted by the local population, with an understanding that their futures are significant deserves support.
I hope to be able to return to the forests and help plant trees some time.
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
knowing trees are being planted with success every year keeps butterflies alive !
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
support as is. Is an excellent organization.
