Review for Hatherly Elementary School Parent Teacher Club Ptc, Sterling Hts, MI, USA

Rating: 5 stars

As the principal of Hatherly Elementary School, I know that it is imperative that the staff, students, parents and community see the importance of educating children. The Hatherly PTC is a dedicated group of staff and parents who work extremely hard to provide the school community with the tools to help all of our students succeed and achieve their personal best. Through their main fund raiser (annual Fun Run) the PTC reaches out to all stakeholders in our community to contribute to this fund raising endeavor. This has provided funds to the organization, but it has more importantly facilitated lasting relationships with our school community members. Throughout the school year, the PTC supports the activities of the school by providing funds for assemblies, sponsoring author visits, hosting evening activities for parents and students to engage in fun learning activities and ongoing volunteer efforts during the school day. The students and staff at Hatherly have greatly benefitted from the generosity and hard work of the Hatherly PTC.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

On a daily basis, I see the benefits that the PTC has brought to our school. Whether it is through the material resources that they have provided or their presence in our school, the PTC is here to support our efforts.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Although many parents attend programs at our school, I would like to see a greater attendance at the monthly PTC meetings to allow for greater participation in decision making efforts.

Role:  Professional with expertise in this field & I work with the PTC at all of their activities and events. I work along side the PTC board to assist in facilitating a strong working realtionship with our school community.
