Chartiers Center has been very obliging in my life. I suffer from a medical disorder called lupus anticoagulant. This is a disorder where my body makes blood clots. My disorder caused me to have open heart surgery, which caused a stroke. This in turned caused me to become homeless. Being homeless caused depression which lead to substance abuse. Since I joined Chartiers' housing program, I have a place now to call home, which is a big stress relief, and I have been able to focus on my health and sobriety. I hope and pray that Chartiers can continue providing and expand their services in the future.
