Review for Lung Cancer Alliance, Washington, DC, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Bravo to the Lung Cancer Alliance for all the good work they are doing on behalf of lung cancer survivors and their families.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

The introduction of the Lung Cancer Mortality Reduction Act

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I can't think of anything. They are great

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Their unflagging commitment to the cause

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

All kinds. From my local chairs to Laurie Fenton-Ambrose the President of the LCA. All are committed to ending the stigma and resultant lack of funding that is the main reason why mortality rates remain so high

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Help lower the mortality from Lung Cancer which remains largely unchanged since 1971

Ways to make it better...

I'd found the LCA before my mother died of Lung Cancer in 2003

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

The stigma associated with Lung Cancer

One thing I'd also say is that...

This organization is great. Please donate and if you have time, volunteer

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

Role:  General Member of the Public & I've volunteered handing our lung cancer awarness literature at a Giant's Game and have lobbied my state and federal representatives to support increased funding for lung cancer treatments and early detection.
