My mother donated for several years. When she passed away, I picked up this obligation. Perhaps it is white guilt, but so what? I think the native Americans have gotten a tremendously raw deal from our people and the government. Supporting schools can help the children escape the inevitable failure when one lacks a good education. I wish they would not send me trinkets, just pictures of happy successful children. I know what it takes to run a nonprofit. Guidestar would not have them at the Platinum level if they were a scam.
