My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for The Humane Society of the United States, Washington, DC, USA
I cannot imagine how the world would be without the Humane Society. ANIMALS are not just "animals", but they are living, breathing, FEELING creatures like we are. ALL animals, including people, breathe air, cry out in pain when hurt, eat, drink, release bodily wastes, and sleep. So why should animals be denied HUMANITY. Are we not human beings? What is the worth of a human being without compassion? It would make a person the most dangerous animal on earth. Strange, as "intelligent" people are or can be--for many individuals, despite our computers and mathematics and sciences galore-why is it something as simple as COMPASSION be beyond their grasps? It's very sad animals are oftentimes abused and tortured for GREED (farm factories), GLUTTONY(Farm factories) , ENTERTAINMNET (hunting, circuses, dog fighting, etc), and VANITY (the fur industry which rips flesh off still living, conscious beings). And how tragic it happens everyday, every second, to millions of animals all around this world. Where is the compassion? What makes it far worst--PEOPLE KNOW WHAT THEY DO AND DO IT WITH EYES WIDE OPEN. Fully aware. And still do it. The Humane Society is a Voice for the helpless. There are angels in heaven, but also on earth. Clearly, it is the Humane Society of the United States. “If you have men who will exclude any of God's creatures from the shelter of compassion and pity, you will have men who will deal likewise with their fellow men.” St. Francis of Assisi
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
Changing laws, campaigning, protecting the helpless.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
They are always there. Helping the helpless poor animals.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
They are all great people.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
CHANGE LAWS! Make animal cruelty severe felonies they way it SHOULD be.
