Review for Cradles to Crayons, Newton, MA, USA
Cradles to Crayons is a well run organziation that fills a true void in the non-profit world. The organization is very effective and efficient. I suggested my neighbor's daughter have her birthday party there as she was looking for a positive world experience rather than more "stuff." The girls were taught a bit about the C2C mission so that they would understand how their efforts contributed, and then kept busy with meaningful work. They had a great time AND felt like the really did something to benefit others. I also think the program targeted at high school kids over the summer is an excellent idea, teaching kids to care for others and learn to give back, as well as the benefits of volunteering.

Interactions with Corporate organizations - very educaitonal and professional. Interactions with individual volunteers - very welcoming and encouraging.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Change the dates / times they will accept donations to that it is more convenient for folks that do work to make donations. Have volunteer event between Christmas and New Year's, or other holidays when kids are off from school so that they can participate in volunteer efforts.

What specific problem, purpose, priority, or project prompted your gift?
Need for so many organizations to have acccess to children's items on demand, as they do not have place to store for when needed - so obvious and yet I had not thought about this issue.
Why did you make your donation at this time?
A well run organization that I know will benefit so many.
What would you tell others about this organization?
Incredibly useful and well run.
