Review for Whidbey Island Nourishes, Langley, WA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Whidbey Island Nourishes, a volunteer based non profit, has helped feed kids in need in our community for over 10 years, providing the nutrition for their growing brains and bodies that might not be there otherwise. The families express their deep gratitude for the help and support, the kids feel like someone cares about them and all the volunteers have a wonderful, fun and rewarding time helping create freshly prepared, healthy meals which are distributed through the schools, local food bank, other organizations that support kids and through cost free vending machines. Over the years W.I.N. has become a finely tuned, highly efficient and much loved and respected organization, receiving almost all it's funding from personal donations and festive fundraisers. All support is welcome. Thank you.

Review for Grist Magazine, Inc., Seattle, WA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I've been a Grist reader since it began and have always appreciated the humor that comes with it making many difficult issues easier to swallow- or spit out, or share. It has become a fabulous resource for information on an international scale as well as basic how tos. Grist is an invaluable resource and tool for nourishing the change we all need to create. Thank you Grist!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

growing awareness of how we behave and walk on this beautiful earth and how we can do it more respectfully

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

make sure everyone receives it!

Role:  General Member of the Public & I expand my knowledge on many issues through Grist and share it with others.
