Review for Big Apple Greeter, New York, NY, USA
I ve been a Greeter with Big Apple for over 10 years and have enjoyed meeting people from dozens of places around the world
Big Apple facilitates the walks which are free to the participants
They in turn get to meet a “real New Yorker” who not only shows them around but is available to consult with during their stay in NYC

I just started, this year, as a Greeter. Having lived all my life in NYC (Bronx and Brooklyn) It's a real pleasure to share my experiences and knowledge of the city with Tourists from around the world.
I learn from them and they learn from me. They get to go to areas of the city where few tourists can be found and see and meet other real new yorkers.
We mostly go to places in DUMBO, Bklyn Heights and Fort Greene...many of which are somewhat unusal
Everywhere I ve taken them people seem to reach out.
At the end of the day I and they have been better for the experience and they seem to have a more enriching visit
I really enjoy being a volunteer
