Review for Summit Cancer Solutions Inc, Wheatridge, CO, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I found this organization about 2 years into my battle with thyroid cancer. I need to work out to keep my energy level up and it is SO hard to keep motivated. The people there are so positive and want to help so much. The cost of a full 6 month membership to almost all of the recreation centers in the greater Denver area is so low, you can't turn it down. We get 2 classes a week with a personal trainer, and if that time doesn't work for you, she will meet with you to get you started and you can go on your own and call her when you need help. Again, the people are so positive and want to help so much, and the exercise helps us all so much. Also, it different than a traditional support group in that we are doing something for our bodies along with something for our emotional and mental well being. I love it there and give the name to everyone with cancer that I meet.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

The improvement in my health as well as others' in my group.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

continue it's good works.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the people who both come to class and who serve us. They all want a positive experience and to help our health and mental well being!

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

positive, knowlegable, going out of their way to help, patient, kind, understanding and wonderful in general.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

give even more scholarships out - they give us a great discount at the rec centers around town, but also give full scholarships to those who can't afford even that much.

Ways to make it better...

the time of the day would have been different, but that is the time restraint of the rec center, not the Summit Cancer Solution program.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

keeping funding and getting the word out.

One thing I'd also say is that...

I really appreciate all the organization does for me.

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?
