Review for Advocates for Bartow's Children, Inc., Cartersville, GA, USA
Advocates for Children is an amazing organization with the sole mission of helping children that have faced unfortunate situations thrive in society. In addition to the 10+ programs they offer, from Rainbows to Flowering Branch Children's Shelter, their staff and volunteer programs are phenominal. Each and every person on staff and on the volunteer team pull together to ensure that every child that comes through their program is well cared for and feels loved. My family was drawn to this organization three years ago and initially helped with the annual Duck Durby; the most amazing event where you'll see everything from local performers and crafters to thousands of yellow ducks floating down the river - all to raise funds to assist with the operational costs of running Advocates. Since then we have enjoyed sharing our time by bringing dinner to the children at the shelter, supporting the annual Spring Benefit and of course, the very fun Duck Derby. Advocates is a very special organization that has helped hundreds of children thrive in a loving environment when they wouldn't have otherwise had that at home.

I have personally seen results of this organization when our family would bring dinner to the children at the shelter. Our daughters learned how to interact with the kids and were able to see them for the awesome kids they were rather than the life situations they had experienced. Advocates has taught my family more about loving others and offering talents and services than any other organization or experience.

If I had to make changes to this organization I would add more corporate sponsorships so their funding would increase and they could offer all they desire to.
