Review for Brainstorming 4 Us, Inc., Apple Valley, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

My husband was injured with a traumatic brain injury in a motorcycle accident in August 2005. Our family found no resources or educational information for families when you are sitting in the ICU/CCU units of a trauma hospital. It became our mission to help our family and other families understand what happens to the survivor of a brain injury and their families. Brainstorming 4 Us is a non-profit that places our Brain Injury Resource Bags into trauma hospitals in California and beyond. Our bags are filled with 24- hour grooming items, journal, pen, book on Traumatic Brain Injury injuries, rehabilitation, medical team and a glossary of medical terms. We now offer monthly support groups, online support, outings, meals delivered to families and our annual " Walk/4 Thought" to bring awareness and education to the public. We also speak with law enforcement and schools to educate on behaviors associated with a brain injury.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Brainstorming 4 Us is growing at a rapid rate. I have seen our bags make a difference in lives of families thrown into a catastrophic accident beyond their control. Knowing they are able to read and understand they are not alone is the greater gift of all

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Hearing the stories, meeting the families and knowing they are not walking alone in the very difficult time. They inspire our organization to grow and no we are making a difference.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Non Judgmental with the understand that we have been exactly where they are.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Every Trauma Hospital in the United States would receive our Brain Injury Resource Bags at no cost to families. All presentations would be at no cost to educate the public, schools and law enforcement.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?
