Review for Save A Forgotten Equine, Redmond, WA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I have been a volunteer with SAFE for over three years and am honored to be a part of such an amazing organization. There are no paid positions, this organization is 100% volunteer run and that makes what they're able to accomplish that much more amazing. We truly put our heart into helping the horses that cross our paths on to productive, successful lives by providing basic ground and undersaddle training, honest and detailed assessments, vet and farrier care, and a commitment to take the horse back if the home dosn't work out or the new owner is unable to keep it.

SAFE has public and transparent financial records available to anyone and their Treasurer answers questions quickly and professionally. This is truly a class-act organization that deserves enormous accolades for their work in the difficult world of horse rescue. I simply cannot imagine myself donating my time anywhere else.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Several animal control siezures including horses near death make amazing turnarounds and physical transformations due to the dedication and expertise of SAFE staff.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

find a way to make it grow. SAFE is the standard to which all other equine rescues shouls aspire.

Role:  Volunteer & I volunteer weekly doing barn chores and feeding. Making horses that come in skinny and sick blossom into beautiful, healthy horses is what SAFE does best!.
