Review for Triangle Gay Men's Chorus, Research Triangle Park, NC, USA
When I first heard the Triangle Gay Men's chorus, 8 years ago, they were doing a Broadway review. The concert was wonderful, full of the excitement and drama you find in broadway music. There was also a touching tribute to a mother(author), who was sitting at her son's bedside as he lay dying from aids complications. She asks the nurse what can I do, to which the nurse replied: "just sing". That moving tribute, coupled with having his "quilt" present in the church, was the motivation I needed to get involved with this organization...I was hooked.

A moto of the organization "transforming lives", I experienced first hand, while singing with the choir. I had only been out to my family a few years and asked my parents to come. On the night of the concert they were there, along with my son and partner. As the concert progressed, so did the warmth and emotion within me. By they time we got to the last song: "Listen to my Heart", I could barely sing, the words resignated with the moment, my life and my family's life was positively transformed forever.
