Review for Medical Mutts Service Dogs Inc, Indianapolis, IN, USA
I cannot say enough good things about Medical Mutts. I was attracted to them because of their mission to train rescue dogs, and that their dogs are trained to the International Association of Assistance Dog Partners (IAADP) standards, meaning I could travel with my service dog internationally. When I heard they are were offering virtual training, coinciding with my dog, Mina, needing more advanced training, I was so excited.
Their response time was immediate to me requesting an evaluation, and it was super easy to get the videos they wanted sent to them. The interview was very thorough, and I’ve been absolutely impressed with everything about them since starting small group training. Our trainer, Melissa, is so knowledgeable and a great teacher. Our training course is incredibly individualized to the dogs in our group, and she is always available for answering questions.
And the training just wow! They provide so much material - videos and handouts and power points galore. For every task there is a list of step by step instructions telling you exactly what to do and why you are doing it. And I’m really seeing a difference with Mina - even when we’re not actively working on training, she is in general much more attuned to me and quick to obey.
And because of the way they’ve designed their curriculum, by the time we’ve finished all three levels of training, my dog will have the AKC STAR Puppy certification, the AKC CGC certification, the IAADP certification, and passed a public access test.
If you are ready to get started with service training, definitely contact Medical Mutts. You and your dog will not be sorry.
