In January of 2019 I moved from Massachusetts to Iowa, all by myself. Over the next few months I established a work space and a home life for myself, but something felt incomplete. I decided in late 2019 that a companion would probably fill the void I felt since leaving my home state. I traveled to Animal Welfare Friends and was met with such friendliness that I knew I had come to the right spot. It was there I had found my good guy Chucky, a young cat looking for his forever home. The moment I came into contact with him I knew we could both make each other as happy as can be. It is now July 2021, and my bond with Chucky has only grown stronger. I am forever grateful to Animal Welfare Friends for assisting me and Chucky into our transition, as well as giving me pointers on how to make him comfortable with his life changing move. I couldn’t have asked for a better facility to help not only my boy Chucky, but any other animal in need.
