My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Mural Music & Arts Project, East Palo Alto, CA, USA
MMAP not only provided me an exciting and rewarding work experience, it also gave me a second home and family. The culture of love and support that is practiced and promoted is truly unique and has an incredible impact on the many communities that it serves. From mural's to performances, to curriculum and workshops MMAP does every thing in its power to encourage and benefit the youth. I am proud to have been a part of it, and happy to know that I will always be family. The leadership skills, relationships, and experiences I gained are enough for a lifetime.
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
My time working there and my time living in the community that it serves (East Palo Alto CA).
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Bring on more people to help with the tremendous work that is already going on. Like all Non-Profits, MMAP needs the support both monetarily and personnel wise to truly execute its vision of youth empowerment.

What is unique about this organization?
Like I said before MMAP is run as much like a family as it is a non-profit. What make it truly unique are the tight relationships between staff and students. Youth empowerment and community enrichment are only possible through strong relationships. From it's funders to its staff to the youth and communities it serves MMAP is one large web of strong, life-long relationships of real commitment, care, and support.
