Review for Crisis Aid International, St. Louis, MO, USA
We go back a long way. In its early swashbuckling days, flying food and medicine into parts of Africa where even local militaries feared to tread, Crisis Aid asked for my advice. ¶ I'm a donor-communications specialist. I've written 6 books and speak internationally. ¶ As I learned more about Crisis Aid, though, I transitioned from consultant to donor ... and that's what I've been for years. ¶ I've never been closer to heaven (retired Catholic here) than Crisis Aid. I should probably add a disclaimer: I'm a successful ad copywriter ... so I could spin this. Instead, this is my honest truth: Crisis Aid shocks me. News feeds us all a daily diet of horror and grief, hoping to ring the bell in a part of your brain called the amygdala. That guarantees your attention, which is then sold off to advertisers. ¶ If actual angels now walk the earth (and don't look at me: I'm a devout socialist/securalist), those angels wear Crisis Aid name badges.
