Review for Jewish Family Services, Columbus, OH, USA

Rating: 5 stars

The SUCCESS Program through Jewish Family Services was an excellent job transition resource. The SUCCESS Program provided terrific guidance and input from Career Consultants with resume writing, job search, networking, cover letter and thank you letter writing strategies. The Career Consultants are top notch professionals that truly care about all the clients in the program and go above and beyond to assist clients. The weekly meetings are also extremely beneficial in meeting with other professionals in career transitions to share strategies and emotions that are common during job transition. I highly recommend both Jewish Family Services and the SUCCESS Program.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

My networking and resume writing skills.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Try to increase the visibility of of the SUCCESS Program to more (local) businesses. (I realize this is probably dependent on staffing and budgetary resources being available.)

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The genuine desire to help professionals in career transition and the continuous efforts by career consultants to go above and beyond to help clients.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Extremely helpful, knowledgeable and friendly professionals.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Provide even more support and tools to professionals in career transition.

Ways to make it better...

there was more targeted focus to my profession. However, I realize that the tools provided can be used to apply to several different fields, including mine.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Funding the SUCCESS Program and all the services provided to its clients.

One thing I'd also say is that...

I feel very fortunate to have been in the SUCCESS Program and to have worked with the Career Consultants. It opened up my eyes to new (to me) and improved job searching strategies.

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2008

Role:  Client Served & I was a participant in the SUCCESS Program.
