Review for National Brussels Griffon Rescue Incorporated, Dallas, TX, USA
We had lost our pure bred Brussels, Tobey, at age 13 and our youngest, little Mia, a half red rough and black smooth, was out with me for a walk late one night in our nearby woods. Under a copse of trees, we ran into a friend walking her own Brussels, Beau, and she mentioned that another, Harry, was being fostered by the NBGR in nearby Gulfport. We'd never heard of the organization but promptly reached out to it and applied to adopt. We met Harry for the first time at the Gulfport dog park and he and Mia hit it off, including when the foster dad brought him over to walk through the same woods where I'd first learned of him, and to assess our condo and make sure it would be a great forver home. We lost Mia at age 15 two-plus years ago but Harry is still going strong, sleeping on top of our heads as his foster said he would, and serving as a testament to what a great organization the NBGR is. We are actively seeking another Griffon as Harry, now 11, eases gracefully into his later years, cuddling and attentive as he was on day one.
