Birch Community Services is so much more than a food bank. The staff truly take the time to get to know each participant and their unique situations. Then, while tangibly helping to reduce expenses for basic needs (food, clothing, etc.), the program asks participants to critically think about their finances and plan for the future. This can be hard work--and not for everyone--but for those who follow through and hold themselves accountable the rewards can last a lifetime. I'm proud to be involved with BCS and the service they provide to our community.
