Review for Interfaith Social Services, Inc, Quincy, MA, USA
Where do I begin? I absolutely love being associated with ISS, and am astonished by all it does. It's a small building that explodes with services. Regarding the Pantry Shelf, many of the people who walk through the door do not want to be there, many are humiliated that they have reached that point. I've seen women and men cry while they apply for food, others have been so grateful that it almost brought me to tears. For the most part, they just want to survive with whatever dignity they can salvage from what brought them to our doors. They are people, and I just love doing whatever I can to help in my own little way. Rick Doane has said that one of the hardest things some of these clients will ever have to do, is walk through our doors, and he is so right! We all need to be conscious of that at all times.
