Review for Energy Outreach Colorado, Denver, CO, USA
Energy Outreach Colorado, through Energy Outreach Colorado’s Nonprofit Energy Efficiency Program (NEEP), provided more than $114,000 worth of weatherization improvements for a 1960s-era, 28,000 square-foot facility owned by Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver.
NEEP provides free energy audits and efficiency upgrades for qualifying nonprofit facilities across the state. With funds from Xcel Energy and the Denver Office of Strategic Partnerships, they installed a new energy efficient hot water heating system; replaced 226 lighting fixtures; 25 occupancy sensors; and repaired 38 windows. The improvements are projected to result in energy cost savings of at least $6,600 a year in electricity and natural gas.
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
The work was completed efficiently and quickly, with little or no disruption to Boys & Girls Clubs programs. Communication was excellent and training was completed immediately after the work was done. We can see that we are experiencing lower utility bills. We look forward to the analysis to indicate how much lower the bills actually are when degree days are factored in.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
I would provide more funds so the organization can expand its reach.
