I learned about Tipi Raisers in high school from a friend. As soon as I went on my first volunteer trip from Colorado up to Pine Ridge, I saw firsthand the power of people coming together and working for a common goal. A big part of the Tipi Raisers is the work aspect that brings much needed supplies to individuals and families in Pine Ridge. An equally important part is the time spent with the other volunteers from Pine Ridge, and across the country. The relationships that are formed and the learning that happens can create deep healing. I’ve experienced this firsthand, and feel so fulfilled every moment spent volunteering with the Tipi Raisers.
