Review for ANIMALS DESERVE BETTER INC dba Paws For Life USA, Marietta, GA, USA
Paws for Life is a committed organization that pays close attention to each Team. I struggled with the idea of needing a Service Dog and recognized the need and the benefit of being paired. Kimberly was patient, encouraging and supportive as we discussed breed, size, and more. She paid attention to my needs and accommodated them regardless of how challenging that may have been. Since being teamed with my pup Kimberly had taught me how to work with my Service Dog. She has been available for questions of all sorts with kindness and clarity. Kimberly is one of the most committed people to the cause that tugs on her life every day. This does not look like a job but a calling in the way she cares for every Team. She arranges countless events, individual traing, group traing and leads us in how to engage in those environments and teach our dogs how to behave in every environment. She trains the dogs to pick up scents with each individual and task in different eays. She shows us how to correct behavior and how to recognize when our dog is alerting and tasking. Those in attendance are developing friendships and the dogs seem to know one another which is great to see. We enjoy being together and encouraging one another.
When I began the process of exploring organizations that met my need I found one that I could be matched with a 2 yr old dog within 6 months but the breed was not one that I desired. Another organization quoted 3 to 5 year waiting period and then there was Paws for Life. I was matched within 4 months and my pup and I began working together at 8 weeks of age. I didn't think I could do it and then with Kimberly's help saw that I could. My pup is doing so well. We continue to work through the challenges of puppyhood and grow closer together each day. There is a lot of work and commitment training. Kimberly as my Master Trainer makes it easier and it is rewarding. I am so glad I chose Paws for Life. I see my pup making progress each day an already at less than 9 months she is not only learning but working and helping me. If you are looking for a Service Dog for your needs or that of a loved one I recommend checking out Paws for Life. What you put into the training is what you will get out of it just like anything on life. Paws for Life is changing lives. I have watched dogs help their Team mate, I have heard from those who have had their dog for longer than I and how it has helped them. Having a Service Dog is such a critical need and as reasonable as Paws for Life is, the cost is beyond what those who are often unable to work able to pull together. Paws for Life works with their clients and any way that you too can support this organization and those in financial need I can assure you is going to a great cause. This organization is a place where lives are changed and as that life is changed it so positively impacts the person, their family, friends and society as a whole. Please consider supporting Paws for Life and all that they do and thank you to Kimberly and all the volunteers and supporters of this organization.
