My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Canine Assisted Therapy, Inc., Oakland Park, FL, USA
In 2014 I was looking for a Therapy Dog organization where I would be able to get my mini-dachshund Ripley to become a certified therapy dog, so we would be able to volunteer as a team in the community so I could share Ripley's sweet/fun personality with others. Fortunately for me after attending a Dog Bite Prevention class I was introduced to the Co-Founder of CAT Dog and after hearing about the organization Therapy Dog program, plus all the wonderful community support they provided in our community I knew this would be the right fit for Ripley, so I signed up for their orientation class and enrolled Ripley in their Therapy Dog Training course and mentorship program. I was so thrilled when Ripley and I passed and became a Certified Therapy Team and couldn't wait to get out into the community and volunteer with Ripley. It also felt great to be a part of such a wonderful organization as CAT Dog. They always have the best interest in your dog and what they will be most suited for. They are patient, well educated and are all about making sure it is a good experience for you as a team and for those you are interacting with. Over the years Ripley and I have thoroughly enjoyed our volunteerism with CAT Dog and we just love everyone there. They are constantly coming up with new ideas to support our community, finding ways to connect virtually, drive by Pet Parades, TeleDog and much more. If you are looking for an organization that cares about you and your canine I highly recommend CAT Dog. They are hands down the best in our community.
