Review for Canine Assisted Therapy, Inc., Oakland Park, FL, USA
I am so glad that we adopted our beautiful Ivy from Peurto Rico a year and half ago, she is the best girl and we love her dearly. When we picked her up at the air port in Miami one of the volunteers with the South Floirda Golden Retriever rescue also volunteered at Canine Assisted Therapy with her rescue dog. I ran into Melinda again at a gathering of rescues, and she told me about C.A.T and that Ivy might be a good candidate because of her gentle nature. Fast forward a year later she passed all of her tests right before COVID 19 so we were derailed for a while but have recently started back up with some more events. I like the fact that all of the women who run the organization are trully amazing people who really care about what they do and the volunteers and dogs who make up the organization. During the pandemics quarantine they kept up positive emails about at home events that we could all participate in. I like that each event that I have gone to since the quarantine has been lifted have been well described and extremely well run. The amount of detail that goes into each event is evident in the descriptions about each event. Nothing is left for us to guess about, I really like that. I have volunteered with other organizations for many years and I would have to say that this group is extremely well run and organized and the best part a very friendly group to work with. This is one of the best things I have done and Ivy loves doing it, we are looking forward to being certified to work with kids one day, Ivy adores children!
