My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Canine Assisted Therapy, Inc., Oakland Park, FL, USA
I have been volunteering as a therapy dog handler for several years, starting out with another organization. I got to know some of the Canine Assisted Therapy (CAT) volunteers and saw how much more involved they were with our community. I decided to make the switch to volunteer with Canine Assisted Therapy...best decision ever. This non profit organization is one big family, we have a lot of fun while helping others and the staff truly cares about the volunteers and their dogs. There are plenty of volunteer opportunities and social activities that no other local therapy dog organization is offering. Because of Covid, my therapy dog has been very busy in virtual zoom meetings as well as greeting sick kids and isolated seniors at a distance with our fun car pet parades (see pics). I love that this organization did not shut down during the 2020 pandemic, it offered the volunteers and new TeleDog teams a new way to stay connected with those who needed our help, now more than ever.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
None that I can think of.
