Review for Foundations Community Partnership, Inc., Doylestown, PA, USA
Foundations Community Partnership has long supported The Council of Southeast PA, and we are grateful for their support. In the past several years, they have supported key initiatives including a Partnership in Youth Services (PYS) grant for providing Adolescent Alcohol and Other Drug Education and Intervention Group at the Bucks County Youth Center, a Capital Grant for the repairs to the roof at the Women’s Recovery Community Center, and a COVID 19 Response Grant to help our organization transform as we continue to deliver our prevention, intervention and recovery support services through the challenges of a pandemic. These investments in our programs have been invaluable.
During the summer of 2019, The Council participated in the FCP Summer Youth Corps program for the first time, and the experience was so positive and rewarding. Our intern, Emma Boyajieff was such an asset to our organization – her professionalism, intellectual curiosity and excellent work ethic made her a perfect fit.
Emma worked to ensure that all of the goals we established for her were met. She supported our preparations for the Recovery Walk and was a valuable part of the planning team for this event that brought together 25,000 to celebrate Recovery. Having Emma work in our programs aligned well with Emma's interest in medicine, and I welcomed the fact that a future physician would begin their career with a deeper understanding of substance use disorder, and the power of strong recovery community supports.
Foundations Community Partnership is innovative in developing programs like the Summer Youth Corps, truly responsive to the Nonprofits they fund, and The Council board and staff are deeply appreciative of being one of their program partners. We look forward to working with Dr. Bruhn to continue to creatively meet Bucks County’s needs.
Thanks for your comments and feedback about our successful partnership.
