When the Corona virus hit, we started thinking about getting a dog to take our minds off things and help with the boredom. We heard about a dog at the shelter that sounded like what we wanted. We started by fostering it for about 2 months before deciding to adopt, and we're glad we did. She arrived at the shelter with a broken leg, which looked like it was caused by abuse. We were a little afraid that she might have trouble trusting people after that, but she quickly found that we weren't going to hurt her and has become very affectionate. The HSMC had the leg fixed, had her treated for heartworms and chipped. We can't say enough about how caring the people at the HSMC were with her.
