For over 40 years, the Heating Energy Assistance Team, Inc. (HEAT) has provided and continues to provide very valuable information and critical financial assistance to vulnerable Georgians seeking assistance with paying their heating bills by directing them to the appropriate Community Action Agency in their county. Further, when calling HEAT for help, many callers want to explain their plight and HEAT's program staff members take time to actively listen and provide critical information about the varied sources where the caller can receive other types of assistance. HEAT is a very small nonprofit with only 3 staff exceptional staff members. Every year, HEAT receives assistance requests from more vulnerable individuals and families than its budget will allow it to serve. As a result, I strongly urge you to join me in financially supporting the very necessary work undertaken by HEAT.

Lutheran Towers has a visionary mission, comprehensive evidence based services, innovative health and wellness programs, and in-person as well as virtual recreational programs which serves to improve of life for its more than 200 residents. In 2021 alone, Lutheran Towers provided its residents more than 78,000 pounds of free food. In 2022, Lutheran Towers opened a "No Charge" grocery store exclusively for its residents with goal of reducing food insecurity its HUD subsidized senior community. It offers employees great annual compensation, benefits, pension, and ample professional development opportunities for all employees.

The mission of this organization is noteworthy and laudable. The programs and services are very necessary and performed in an exemplary fashion. The staff is extremely small in size and their quality of work is excellent. ISDD's Executive Director is a remarkable and highly talented leader. I highly recommend this organization to anyone interested in supporting the work of an organization doing much to improve the quality of life for extremely vulnerable children and families.
