We have stories of seniors cancelling medical appointments because they cannot afford self care supplies and without these, they are not willing to see their doctor in a state of uncleanliness. Giving The Basics not only provides needed supplies, but through their donations they promote self-worth and a sense of pride to the older adult who can go out in the community knowing their self care needs are met.
