As a child of Head Start in the late 70s, the mission of the Loudoun Literacy Council is very close to my heart. Were it not for the dedication of people like the Literacy Council's staff, volunteers, and board members in my own childhood, I would not have been able to become the first in my family to attend college. I appreciate being able to 'pay it forward' as a volunteer and wholeheartedly support their efforts since I've personally since the difference work likes their makes in the lives of others.
