Review for Educational Pathways International, Incline Village, NV, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Regina Esi Kate Appartaim is my name, a first year student reading BSc. Midwifery at the University of Ghana.

Even though I happened to have a good results after my final high school examination, my mother was facing financial challenges. Since she was single handedly taking care of us, I had to work after high school in order to save some money to support my mother to pay for my fees if I was to gain admission. Having gained admission, life on campus was very difficult for me. I was not able to afford recommended reading materials and studying equipment because the up keeping money given to me was very little and I had to manage it to lessen the burden my mother was facing. I was feeling very sad of my family's situation and sometimes had thoughts of dropping out of school if things didn’t get better. Because things were worst at home than it was for me whenever I called. All these was before I joined Educational Pathways International (EPI). I joined Educational Pathways International in October, 2019.

My family and I now have a reason to smile again because of Educational Pathways International's intervention, our financial burden has reduced. EPI has given me a scholarship which covers my tuition and residential fees, books and even an additional money to cater for myself. This has made my stay on campus comfortable. My mother has also been relieved since EPI is catering for all my educational needs which was a challenge for her. EPI has given me more reason to press harder in my academic work and pursue my aim in future.

EPI also introduced me to a campus family. During our meeting we have training session where we are taught things that would help us outside the class. Our training sessions has taught me a lot of things that will help me with my life in school and outside of school. This has helped me to improve in my academic as I am now able to use my time effectively.

When I graduate I hope to work as a Professional Midwife in one of the hospitals in Ghana and build a small clinic in my community where people, especially pregnant women can assess healthcare. As I have benefited from EPI, I will also want to give back to my community by helping the needy students in my community with their educational needs. I hope and believe in doing that I will help challenge families and I will also put smiles on faces of families as EPI did for me and my family.

I really appreciate the generous support Educational Pathways International has given me. They gave me more reasons to smile and hope again. I want to say God Richly Bless You.
