Review for Educational Pathways International, Incline Village, NV, USA
I am Enyonam Mansah Gasu. A third year Medical student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
The Educational Pathways International (EPI) Scholarship has helped my education tremendously. The scholarship has given me hope of achieving my dreams. My life is being shaped in the right direction. Thus, I'm motivated to study hard to realize my dream of becoming an Ophthalmologist.
The Educational Pathways International Scholarship has not only been of help in financing my education but is also grooming me into a responsible citizen - one that would make good use of every opportunity to impact society. The opportunity of meeting other beneficiaries of the scholarship continually encourages me to go out of my comfort zone to be the best. Not leaving out my lessons during our meetings where I learnt topics like time management, leadership, qualities employers look out for as well as CV writing. This has broadened my scope of knowledge and improved on my skills and character.
I have a dream of becoming an Ophthalmologist - one who will save the lives of people in my community and Ghana as a whole. This dream was triggered by an Ophthalmologist I met during one of my usual visits to the eye care center in the Volta Regional Hospital in Ghana. I realized the woeful inadequacy of Specialists in that department. Most of the patients were often referred to Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra or one of the private hospitals in Accra. I then made up my mind to study hard to qualify for Medical school. I am now a medical student and I will continue to pursue this dream and help my people.
As I have gotten the opportunity to be part of this great EPI family, I know this dream is not far from being achieved. The grooming and motivation offered by EPI shall spur me on to achieve this dream.
Thanks EPI. ..Great job!
