Review for Hands Across the Sea, Inc., Boston, MA, USA
The staff and students of The Ciceron R. C. Combined School started a journey in September, 2019, to get the library off the ground. We were finally able to open the doors of our child-friendly library in March, 2020. Thanks to our generous donor, Hands Across the Sea, we were able to fill our bookshelves with an array of amazing books. This non-profit organization allowed us to have books of many genres which suited students with various reading abilities.
This new library has curbed many issues that students and teachers battled at the school. Students who once were struggling readers are now able to find books which they can read comfortably while increasing their reading abilities. The school’s population on a whole has demonstrated an increased interest and passion for reading. What is most noticeable is the excitement of the students of the special education program. As the Special Education teacher of Ciceron R. C. Combined School, I am pleased to report that this new set of books from Hands Across the Sea will continue to aid teachers in the teaching and learning process.
On behalf of the principal and staff of the Ciceron R. C. Combined School, I would like to express a heartfelt thank you to Hands Across the Sea for this amazing donation. We would also like to thank an exceptional soul; Mrs. Clara Paul, who saw us through this journey. These resourceful books have not only made reading fun, but have made teaching interactive as well as efficient. We are grateful for your donation and look forward to your continued support.
