Review for MaxHousing, Cleveland, OH, USA
As a volunteer with MAHO, working on their Accessible Housing Resource Center, I had the opportunity to work with the staff daily. The staff works tirelessly to provide their residents with an accessible, safe, and clean place to live. MAHO also works to provide this information to the broader community. They advocate for Universal Design and Visitability. Their advocacy in these areas extend their relationship with their residents out into the community, so that wherever their residents go will be somewhere accessible and safe.

volunteering for this organization, I have seen how they treat their residents as people first. It is important to the MAHO staff and board that the organization provide accessible, safe, and clean facilities for their residents and their guests.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
provide this organization with more tools with which to do this very important work. Advocating on behalf of a marginalized population is hard and costly; MAHO would benefit greatly from monetary resources to support their operations.
