I am a certified child life specialist working in the pediatric and pediatric intensive care units in a hospital in Chicago. My job is to help bring joy, comfort, and new programs to kids during hospitalization to help them cope. Cardz for Kidz helps make my job easier by delivering joy to us year round. Their cards are appropriate for all ages, holidays, languages spoken, and cultures. Our kids love receiving a special card to brighten their day and bring them smiles- especially when the cards have funny jokes or their favorite Disney character on them! Cardz for Kidz also donated an electronic game system to help keep our kids distracted and busy during their stays. Distractions like these will help reduce pain and increase coping. On behalf of me, our staff, kids, and families, we are so grateful for Cardz for Kidz dedication to us!!
