I am so thankful to have been referred to Operation Second Chance for assistance. I am a transitioning Air Force Veteran who has had the toughest and most challenging time adjusting as a civilian. I thought I planned accordingly for this change, but not one of my plans has worked out. My family and I were facing eviction. I am educated, knowledgeable and passionate about what I do, but everyday I come home, i was afraid we wouldn't have a place to live. it is so difficult to look a my children and not feel as though I have failed them. Operation Second Chance understood the challenges I was facing, they accepted my circumstance with open arms, did not judge and assisted me quickly. I now feel relieved that my family and I will not be evicted and I can focus on finding employment. They are easy to communicate with. To all Veterans, if you are facing financial challenges, I urge you to reach out to this organization. The challenges you face does not have to determine the rest of life.
