Review for INCIID Inc (InterNational Council on Infertility Information Dissemination, Inc.), Burke, VA, USA
I am the moderator of INCIID's General Infertility Message Board, and have done this as a volunteer since the website's inception. As a board certified infertility specialist, I have helped people cope with the disability of infertility for over two decades. What's amazing about INCIID is that it reaches people all over the world, and not just in the U.S. or locally where I'm based (in Florida). So, my responses to members of INCIID can help men and women work through their fertility struggles in all corners of the Earth. Anyone with access to this organization's website can log in and get help, real help, serious help. Feedback I've received from folks who have used INCIID for assistance has been overwhelmingly positive, and I know that I have personally assisted numerous members of INCIID over the years to achieve their most precious goal of becoming and staying pregnant. Although I moderate the infertility board, INCIID also has sections of its website designated for ALL other aspects of fertility (such as recurrent pregnancy loss, male fertility, IVF, advanced reproductive age, etc.). This non-profit organization covers every aspect of topics my patients are concerned with, and INCIID helps men and women every minute of every day in ways that are priceless. ...

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in... receiving e-mails from people all over the world telling me how much INCIID helped them to overcome their hurdles with their disability of infertility. They have thanked me for being part of an organization that has changed their lives forever....

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would... try to do something to make more people out there aware of this amazing organization. INCIID is an invaluable resource that many infertile men and women are often not aware of, and it is a shame that INCIID doesn't have the financial resources available to them for getting the word out to more and more people who WILL benefit from their work.

Very Well
Would you recommend this group to a friend?
Definitely
What one change could this group make that would improve your volunteer experience?
Nothing could make my experience with INCIID better than what it already is.
Did your volunteer experience have an effect on you? (teaching you a new skill, or introducing new friends, etc.)
My life is dedicated to helping people have babies, or helping them to understand why they haven't been successful in the past so it can be easier to cope with their struggles. INCIID has allowed me to reach out to others throughout the world, rather than just help people who see me here in Florida, and knowing I've helped someone in another corner of the world gives me a satisfaction that can't be put into words.
How did this volunteer experience make you feel?
I still volunteer for INCIID, and hope to be able to do so as long as I live. Volunteering for INCIID 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, makes me feel like the reason I've been put here, the reason I exist, and the gifts I've been blessed with to help others, can be fulfilled to their fullest extent.
