Review for Soccer Without Borders, Boston, MA, USA
Interning at SWB Baltimore this past summer, I was taken aback by the experience. What stuck out the most was the staff. There was a deep passion about ensuring the kids are being engaged, be it soccer or learning English. The kids show a mutual care for the program. I was a bit surprised that kids were at the program site at 10:00 AM when the program didn’t start until 12:30 PM. When I arrived, the kids were enthusiastic about the day. This type of excitement does not happen elsewhere. Their gleaming faces and eager shouts speak more about the program than anything else. This euphoria lasted throughout the entirety of the program which is simply a testament to the staff for not letting that excitement wane. It would be challenging for anyone, let alone me, to say anything negative about the program simply because of the joy it provides its students. I am grateful for the experience.
