Review for California Association Of Student Councils, Oakland, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

It's hard to put into words what CASC means to me. It has changed my life. I went into the organization as a timid and extremely insecure person and left much less timid and far more confident. It allowed me to see that I have the power to make change and it gave me the skills to do so. It changed my perspective on the world and has affected my life in every way. I would recommend it to any person from any background. It's an amazing organization and you'll meet some of the most inspirational, intelligent, and genuine people out there.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

trying situations. For example, if a conflict arises, I can refer back to some pieces of CASC curriculum that deal with conflict.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

make it more well-known and give as many people as possible a chance to experience it.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the inspiring people involved and the amount of work given to us. It really made me more mature and hard-working.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

some of the smartest and most loving people that I've ever had the pleasure of knowing.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

make a much larger impact than it already is.

Ways to make it better...

I would have known about it a long time ago.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

the current economic climate and raising enough funds to bring in more students from lower-income districts to attend CASC events.

One thing I'd also say is that...

I love CASC and it will always be a part of me.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?
