Review for Trinity Rescue and Equine Sanctuary, Rome, GA, USA
Trinity Rescue is a piece of heaven in this crazy world. I started volunteering a year ago at Trinity Rescue, little did I know the impact this place would have on me and my family. I have been an equestrian most of my life & have a deep seated love for horses. After loosing my horse 15 years ago, getting married, & having children, I knew it was finally time to get myself back into the horse world. I found Trinity Equine Rescue through a friend and decided to start volunteering. A short time after I started my husband and children wanted to join me in volunteering, it's now a family affair! We have met amazing people that are now are FARMily, I have been able to teach my children about hard work, how to fix things when broken, and patience. They have learned what it takes to care for these beautiful creatures and how to help them when they are sick/injured. Things they don't teach in a classroom.
Trinity Rescue is not just an amazing place for people, the true magic is in the rescued horses. The horses come to Trinity from all different situations. Some abuse cases, some hoarders, some abandoned, some from owners not being able to care for them, some from slaughter pens...it doesn't matter where they are from, once at Trinity they are loved wholeheartedly, nourished, and cared for. I've seen skin and bones rehabilitated into a beautiful majestic horse that becomes someone's heart and soul. I've seen dull clouded eyes shine with life and love again. What Trinity Equine Rescue does for these horses is truly beyond words. They give life back to the broken, both horses & humans.
