Review for Hope Haven Children's Clinic and Family Center, Jacksonville, FL, USA

Rating: 5 stars

We have used many services from Hope Haven over the past nine years. Nine years ago, our youngest son was born with Down Syndrome. From the very beginning we were placed in contact with the Down Syndrome Association of Jacksonville, which was located at Hope Haven Children's Clinic. Our oldest child was diagnosed with ADD and later with Asperger's Syndrome. We have also used many services to help him deal with socialization issues, medications and other health issues. Some of the services we have received over the years include: Speech Therapy, Physical Therapy, Computer based training in the summers, Socialization training, educational evaluations, developmental evaluations, physicals, perscriptions, etc. We have also received many scholarships from Hope Haven to help offset the financial costs for the services we have received. The people, facilities and services are always outstanding. We highly recommend this facility to anyone who has children with special needs.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

All three of our children have had multiple services at Hope Haven. They have also provided my family scholarships to help offset some of the costs for the services we have received. This money has allowed us to obtain services that we may not have been

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I would increase their size, and staff so that they could help more families with their wide variety of services.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Their staff and facilities are great.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

always friendly and helpful.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

expand and help more families with children in need.

Ways to make it better...

they had a speech therapist available when we lost the prior speech therapist from another organization.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

their need to expand. They have a wide range of services and could use more space and staff to complete its mission.

One thing I'd also say is that...

we never hesitate to go to Hope Haven to obtain help for any of our children.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every month
