Review for Northwest Family Services, Portland, OR, USA
"I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2006, and I did not have any insurance.
Project Access Network (PAN) was able to help me to have my surgery and get
treatment without having to pay anything out of pocket.
In 2018, through the support group at the hospital, I received information about
the Kaiser Permanente Community Health Coverage Program (KPCHCP) through Northwest Family Services (NWFS). I am not able to drive, so Yaira, NWFS community health worker, came to my house and helped me fill out my application. I had KPCHCP for 4 years and now, due to my age, I qualify for the Healthier Oregon program. I am happy I was able to keep Kaiser as my provider.
NWFS and Kaiser Permanente are an excellent team. They are
very committed and have great human value for the people that need it.
Personally, they are the best services I have ever received.
It is good to know about these services, because there are a lot of people in our
community that do not know these services exist. It is nice to share what I know
and be able to share my experience as well."

The Employer Spotlights provide job seekers with an opportunity to meet Human Resource professionals who are interested in giving back! I got a job because I attended one of those great events! Thanks to NWFS and Clackamas Workforce Partnership for organizing those events :)
