Review for The Sato Project, Brooklyn, NY, USA
The Sato Project is an amazing organization founded by an amazing woman, Christina Beckles. Whoever said one woman’s efforts would not make a difference, was totally W-R-O-N-G! Chrissy started the Sato Project with a shoestring budget. The Sato Project rescues abandoned dogs from the streets and beaches of Puerto Rico. Not only does she rescue them, but each dog is fully vetted and fostered until each one can take their “Freedom Flight” to the Mainland where they are adopted by their Forever Families, never to be abandoned again. It takes thousands of dollars for each dog from initial rescue to Freedom Flight, but these Sato Dogs are the best dogs! In addition, Chrissy has worked with the Puerto Rican government and has set up a Spay and Neuter program both providing education and the medical procedure to reduce, and hopefully prevent, the abandoned dog problem in the first place. Please support this wonderful organization.
