Review for Jeannette Rankin Women's Scholarship Fund (JRF), Athens, GA, USA
Jeannette Rankin Women's Scholarship Foundation changes women's lives through education. It benefits women over age 35 who are enrolled in accredited undergraduate education. Education is the best way to break the cycle of poverty and when a woman is educated, she sets an example for her children and makes a contribution to society. JRF scholarship recipients are special: they are in difficult circumstances and not only pursuing higher education, but also serving their communities.
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
observing the difference education and recognition makes in the lives of JRF Scholars. The stories of JRF Scholars are inspiring. We can all learn from women who work hard to make a better life for themselves, their children, and their communities.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
helping women succeed through education.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
dedicated, interesting and fun to work with.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
serve more women who need support as they pursue higher education while balancing roles as single mothers, workers, community activists, volunteers, caretakers and so forth.
