Review for The Sato Project, Brooklyn, NY, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I adopted my dog, Sugar (Azucar), through the Sato Project in 2018. When I brought her to my family's vet, he was so impressed with the vetting Sugar had received in Puerto Rico before coming to the continental US. He said the Sato Project vetting was more extensive than some local shelters and she was up to date on all shots and medical procedures a puppy her age needed. The adoption process was very thorough and included a detailed application and a home visit. Since we rent, they also verified with our landlord that we are allowed to adopt a pet, a very important step since many pets become homeless because of lease restrictions. 2 years since Sugar's adoption and she is part of our family and we love her so much.

Review for The Sato Project, Brooklyn, NY, USA

Rating: 5 stars

The Sato Project volunteers work tirelessly to “leave no dog behind.” In addition to rescuing and rehabilitating abandoned and abused dogs, they provide free spay/neuter and vaccination opportunities several times a year for dogs who live with families. I adopted my dog from the Sato Project and they took their time to match me with a dog that would be the perfect fit for my family (I already had one dog). When she arrived my vet was impressed with the extensive vetting she received through the Sato Project and said some dogs from local shelters don’t receive that good of treatment.
