Review for Diabetes Hands Foundation, Berkeley, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

The Diabetes Hands Foundation has done a fantastic job using the power of the online communities to help diabetics in need. From a donor perspective, the DHF provides a cost-effective way to reach tens of thousands of diabetics at a time. From a recipient's perspective, the online community of TuDiabetes provides an invaluable service of connecting diabetics, allowing for advice, support, and idea exchange which I believe can tangibly reduce the risk of complications for diabetics.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

As a new diabetic, there's a lot to learn. The TuDiabetes community is like a 24x7 life line. The collective knowledge of this group is simply amazing.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Meeting people who know exactly what I'm going through, getting advice from people who have overcome similar challenges, and getting inspiration from diabetics who live long, healthy, and active lives.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Open up more local and international sites to serve specific regions. There are 90 million diabetics in China alone, and currently the site is only available in English and Spanish.

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?
