Review for Cumac Echo, Inc., Paterson, NJ, USA
August 2019: I spent this summer as an intern at CUMAC and it was an incredible experience. From my first day there, CUMAC has gone above and beyond my expectations. Everyone there is completely dedicated to their mission of feeding people and changing lives, and they do so with a smile on their faces. They are loving, friendly, and made it an absolute joy to go there everyday. CUMAC really is incredible -- not only do they house a Community Closet and food pantry (which is undergoing its transition into the Choice Marketplace), the behind-the-scenes work of both the administrative staff and warehouse staff is unbelievable. They make sure their volunteers feel safe, aware, and prepared. The clients they serve are treated respectfully and are provided with healthy choices to fuel their lives and support their families. I absolutely love CUMAC with all my heart -- both the work that they do and the people there made me love it even more.
Update 7/02/2020: I spent last summer as an intern at CUMAC and loved it so much that during my Thanksgiving and Winter breaks when I was home from college, I spent my time off at CUMAC! I returned once again this summer as an intern and cannot be happier. There are so many moving parts to CUMAC, it's incredible how personable and welcoming each member of the busy team is. I've loved becoming part of the CUMAC family and repeatedly bring new volunteers with me -- my parents and my sister! CUMAC never fails to impress me with everything they do.

I've spent the last two months volunteering at CUMAC, and it truly has been one of the best experiences of my life. I graduated high school in June and was looking for a non-profit nearby that I could help out at over the summer. From my first day there, CUMAC has gone above and beyond my expectations. Everyone there is completely dedicated to the mission of feeding people and changing lives, and they do so with a smile on their faces. Every single water bottle, can of food, and box of pasta is accounted for and bagged with extreme care. They make sure their volunteers feel safe, aware, and prepared. The clients they serve are treated respectfully and are provided with healthy choices to fuel their lives and support their families. I absolutely love CUMAC with all my heart -- both the work that they do and the people there made me love it even more. I can't wait to return and volunteer again!
